Wahanda Salon App

After seeing a few TV adverts about Wahanda, I decided to give it a go. To be honest, apart from the hairdressers, I've only ever been to a salon once and that was a for a pedicure when I was 13 in LA. It does intrigue me, so I thought I'd download it and see what it was all about!

All you have to do it create an account with your name, email and location. It's super simple to join up. The app then finds all the salons in your local area and filters out their treatments into 8 main categories. Each category also has sub-categories. If no-one if your local area does a treatment you want, you can expand your mileage.

The Categories
Hair - filing under hair you can choose from haircuts & hairdressing, blow dry, hair colouring & highlights, hair conditioning & scalp, hair consulting and Brazilian blow dry keratin treatments.
Massage - showing offers of a variety of different massages: therapeutic massage, deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, aromatherapy massage, stone massage and Indian head massage
Face - facials, eyebrows & eyelash, microdermabrasion, HD brows, men's facial and eye treatments.
Hair Removal - waxing, hollywood waxing, brazilian waxing, threading, French bikini wax and laser hair removal.
Nails - choose from a manicure, pedicure, gel nails, two-week manicure, foot scrub and nail extensions & overlays.
Body - body wraps, body exfoliation, spray tanning & sunless tanning, body, steam & sauna therapy and cellulite treatments.
Med & Dental - includes dental, teeth whitening, fresh breath, cosmetic injectables, dermal fillers and collagen treatments.
Spa - the spa category searches for local spa's near you so you can book anything from spa breaks to specific treatments.
All categories have the option of all treatments so you can see prices and what salons offer what treatments, or you can go on "other" and search for the treatment you want.

I haven't booked anything yet, but I'm planning on a massage and maybe a manicure!
I really rate this app, it works really smoothly and is perfect if you fancy treating yourself or a salon regular.

Have you tried out Wahanda?

Golden Rose Haul

The one thing I couldn't get my mind off whilst on holiday was the Golden Rose store I found in the local mall. It's serious makeup heaven! The quality of makeup is amazing, and so cheap. I've come home wishing I bought more things. There's a limited range available for the UK, but it's nothing like what's on offer overseas!

The nail polish is brilliant, they have hundreds of shades but I whittled it down to 7 colours and a fast-dry topcoat. Everyone needs a fast-drying topcoat in their lives! They do chip quite easily but their life is a lot longer if you use a higher quality top coat. These came in at 5L each (roughly £1.13)

I only bought one single eyeshadow as I don't really need anymore eyeshadows but I couldn't resist this pretty golden-orangey pink-toned one! The quality is amazing, it's so soft and buttery and blends amazingly. It's very, very similar in texture to the MAC shadows! I believe this was around 17L (around £3.84)

I picked up one lip liner as I didn't have a darker liner in my collection. This is a nice berry shade, and works really well under the new crayon I bought too! It's soft, non-drying and is in an easy twist-up tube, no sharpening required! This was 7.50L (around £1.69)

The matte lip crayons I bought are by far my favourite things I bought, I wish I had bought every colour they had! I'm doing their own review as they really deserve it! I picked up a rich berry shade, and a pink. They were 24.50L each (around £5.54 each)

SheInside Wishlist

I've kind of been obsessing over SheInside recently, I can't help looking on their website and adding things to my wishlist. So many bloggers and vloggers have things from SheInside, which is where my curiosity came from!

Before I continue with my wishlist of things I've spotted, I just want to say that I am well aware of the bad things I've heard about this company, whether it be bad customer service, poor quality clothes and slow shipping. I feel the best way to shop from here, would be shop through their Style Gallery (which is where customers upload their items/outfits) and check reviews on everything!

Cactus Top
Lace Top
Cat Pocket Top
Geo Print Trousers
White Waistcoat
White Blouse

Please share any experiences/reviews/blog posts on things you got from SheInside! I'd love to see/hear about it a bit more!

New Additions to my (Affordable) Skincare

I've had the same skincare routine/products for so long, in fact it wasn't long ago I posted my everyday skincare routine. I'm still using the same products, I have just enhanced the routine with some extras!

PURE TEA TREE OIL
I think buying pure tea tree oil was a bit short-sighted, as I didn't realise you had to mix the pure oil with another oil to dilute it. Silly I know, but hey we all learn somewhere! When I run out I'm definitely going to pick up the blended version. I've been using this at night, mixing it with some E45 as I feel like it doesn't work so well with other oils, even though you are meant to mix it with other oils. My face is visibly smoother, clearer and less red the next morning - so I am extremely happy with this!

PINK GRAPEFRUIT FACE WASH
Pink grapefruit has been around for a while now in the skincare world, but I didn't really know about it's benefits for your skin until fairly recently. I decided to pick this up as I really like Superdrug's Tea Tree range. I feel like it does make a difference to how clear my skin looks, and it hasn't broken me out, caused any irritation and didn't sting like some face washes do.

NATURALLY RADIANT RADIANCE SERUM
Another Superdrug-own range, this one being the Naturally Radiant range. The range is really interesting and has lots of things to brighten up your skin, from serums and eyecreams to night creams and overnight peels. I really like this serum and I've been using it underneath my E45 to just add something else to my skin. I feel like it helps keep my skin from feeling to "flat".

Overall I am really happy with my new additions. I'm loving Superdrug's own skincare ranges, I'd highly recommend them to anyone who needs skincare to fit into a budget!

Recent Makeup Buys

I was having a bit of a Superdrug moment last week and bought loads of new skincare products, so whilst I was splashing the cash I thought I'd treat myself to some new bits and pieces too. I've also included the Benefit Roller Lash mascara that I got free in ELLE magazine a couple of months ago as it's still a fairly new addition to my face!

Barry M Gelly Nail Paints & New Plumpy Topcoat
Chilli - I've had my eye on this shade for a while now, it's quite a hard colour to describe really, the closest thing I can think of is a slightly darker and more reddy version of Pantone's Marsala (colour of the year 2015)
Rose Hip - I literally haven't taken this off since I brought it home, it is such a beautiful delicate almost-white-pink and I've had so many compliments. It's a perfect pastel for spring!
Plumpy Topcoat - I was really interested by this product so couldn't wait to try it out. It really does give your nails a high-shine gel effect. Not the quickest drying or perhaps even the longest lasting, but it does it's job very nicely for just £3.99 - result!

Bourjois Colorband Eyeshadow/Liner
I had my eyes on this since it first came out so I am glad I finally picked it up. The colour is beautiful, it's easy to apply and isn't too in-your-face like the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold, making it for a wonderful everyday rose gold eyeshadow.

Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Eye Primer
I've been using ELF's lid primer for so long yet their recent decision to close the UK website before long left me hunting around for a new eye primer. I turned to Makeup Revolution in the end as I have never been let down before by their products, and yet again they have impressed me. This performs brilliantly and is only £2.50. (here)

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara (not pictured above)
So when ELLE was giving away a world-exclusive sample of the new mascara Roller Lash of course I had to pick it up. I'm not a major fan of They're Real! as I feel like there are better and more affordable alternatives. However, Roller Lash just feels special and not like any other mascaras I have used before. It lengthens my lashes to absolute perfection without that spidery look, which really makes my eyes pop. I love framing my eyes with a good mascara! I think I may buy this full size when my sample runs out.

GOSH Velvet Touch Lip Liner in Nougat Crisp
This is a product I've had my eye on for a while, especially as my blogging fave Lily Melrose raves about it. I was a little nervous to try this as I usually don't get on with matte lip products but this is gorgeous, it lasts so long and feels weightless, like you don't have any product on what-so-ever.

I adore my new goodies, however the danger of having new makeup is of course wanting even more makeup, haha :)

Cleated Sole Chelsea Boots & Metallic Square Rings

I'm back! After a bit of a break, I feel fully ready to start blogging again. Here's to no more breaks (apart from the odd holiday) and to working really hard to achieving something with this little slice of internet!

Anyway, moving onto this little snippet of a post which features 2 of my favourite purchases recently. Although spring is here, we are having a crap time with the weather which is making dressing for this season even harder than it usually is. Perfect excuse for some new ankle boots am I right? I adore these chunky cleated sole boots from Boohoo. They are chunky yet not too chunky which I feel gives them a spring-time vibe. They are also my first pair of shoes from Boohoo and I am pretty impressed!

Next up from H&M are these really quirky metallic square rings. I am a sucker for jewellery that is a bit different and I couldn't resist these for just £5.99 - a fantastic price for 6 rings! I love that they come in 3 tones of silver, gold and rose gold - mixing metals is something I really love doing and is a really easy trend to do with rings. Major hearts for these!

H&M Homeware Wishlist

H&M have some amazing homeware, it's definitely a shop I'll be hitting when I get my house. I love how fashion-forward they are with their homeware, like having gold, marble and pastel coloured accessories. Just what I, and many others, love. Thanks H&M!

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

I adore the gold metallic cushion, it would look great as a sort of statement cushion, or I can imagine this on its own a wire chair with a cosy blanket. I love wire baskets, they're perfect for decoration and for storage, I've seen them used to house little flower vases - super cute! I had a really tough time choosing which tray to put in this post, so I put both! They would both be cute to display your current favourite perfume, jewellery and makeup. I especially love the marble one! The cactus jewellery dish is my most exciting discovery, it's so cute and so me, I think I might have to place an order just to get this! And finally, a simple glass bottle. You can do so much with them, I think it would look gorgeous with a simple white flower in it, like a rose perhaps.

Birmingham Haul: Primark, New Look & Boots

Hello!

Last Wednesday I went on a cute shopping day with my mum to Birmingham! Although Birmingham isn't too far from where I live, especially if travelling by train, I never seem to venture there often. I do love the mass diversity of stores and how much better they look than in my town, and there's usually way more choice of products in the stores too which is awesome.

I didn't go as mad as I thought I would, mainly because I'm stressing about my future flat deposit, but I still picked up some fab pieces.

Primark
Primark was my first stop, and surprisingly I didn't go mad! I love the things I picked up though. The pink and gold statement necklace is just stunning, and it seems like such good quality! I stocked up on some frilly socks too as they look adorable with boots and things, I adore the monochrome geometric pair. Those white snake print chunky shoes are my favourite buy of the day by far, they are just so cute, especially with those little zips at the front! The grey rose print joggers are nice too, and look good quality. They're very soft, have cuffed ankles and rope pulls.

New Look
I only bought two things from New Look, and forgot to photograph one of them! I'm seriously rubbish in the mornings. This stunning 3-tone satchel is one of the things, and oh my gosh am I in love. The black, burgundy croc and cream side panels are just beautiful. It's really spacious inside too, which is perfect as I always seem to carry loads of stuff around with me! The other item I bought was a gorgeous black wool coat, which I plan to do an OOTD with very soon!

H&M
I'm loving H&M at the moment, I can't go in there without leaving with something at the moment. This time, I chose this burgundy bowler hat (as I absolutely adore my black one!). I also picked up this oversized creamy-white jumper and I adore this. It still has a smallish neck so it looks smart with shirts, but is very long and super cosy - I was mega warm in this!

Boots
In Boots I picked up my basics, Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation and Stay Matte powder. However, I've added two new items to my makeup bag! I've been wanting a new primer for a while and I keep hearing good things about this. Stepping out of my Collection Lasting Perfection comfort zone, I've opted for the Wake Me Up concealer - will be reviewing these very soon!
