Rimmel London Kate Moss Nude Collection: #43

Part of being a beauty blogger and/or beauty addict is getting majorly excited for new releases. Especially new releases in which you can easily wear and afford.

I was really excited when I heard about Rimmel launching a new line of Kate lipsticks, a nude range to be specific. I love nude lipsticks, and I think I must own almost every shade of nude possible by now!

Not sure what nude lipstick to get? Don't worry! At Rimmel stands they have a chart of which lipstick will suit what skin tone. #43 is probably the lightest I could go, especially as I normally go for caramel nudes or rose nudes, but this is a very warm true nude. And like I said, probably the palest I could go without looking like I had smothered concealer all over my lips. #43 is for warm skin tones.

I quite like the packaging, it's a pale pinky-nude tube which I like as it matches the collection. I really like when brands step away from their usual packaging when they bring a collection out, I just think it makes the product feel more special.

The lipstick itself is brilliant. I have come to expect no less from Rimmel, as they seem to really nail their lipstick formulas. It's their usual lippy texture, a sort of satin, without being drying.

I really like this lipstick, I really want to pick up another one. I saw on the chart another lipstick that would suit me, it's slightly darker but I can't remember which shade it was, oops!

Makeup Revolution Golden Sugar Palette

Oh, how I have lusted after this item since Makeup Revolution released it. For so long this was an online-only exclusive (as is many of their items), and I never seem to be able to fill my order with enough excitement-inducing items to justify placing an order. Just recently though, they are bringing more out onto Superdrugs' shop floor. Hooray!

Latest to catch my eye were the blusher palettes, including the much-wanted cream blush palette. My eye, however, was drawn to Golden Sugar. I've wanted this SO badly, I'm just drawn to anything golden toned and I knew immediately that this would suit my skin tone.

There are 8 shades in this palette, 2 highlight shades, 3 blushers, 1 golden shade and 2 contour shades.
They are all very pigmented as you would now expect from Makeup Revolution, especially with the white highlighter shade and golden shade really packing a punch.

My personal favourites are the second highlighter shade, it's a champagne colour so looks great as a natural highlight - perfect for strobing. This palette is great for experimenting. I will get wear from all of these shades as either face products or as eyeshadows.

I'm so happy I finally picked up this palette, I would definitely recommend it for everyone! It's a great palette for playing with, and will create some brilliant glowy looks.

L'Oreal True Match Concealer

After falling in love with the L'Oreal True Match Foundation (review here), I decided I wanted to give the True Match concealer a go. It's landed straight into my top 3...

Like it's foundation sister, the True Match concealer offers brilliant coverage. I would say it was a medium coverage concealer, which is great for under the eyes as it doesn't look too cakey, and doesn't really crease under the eye which is great, and something I struggle with quite a lot.

The packaging is the bog standard concealer tube, with a fluffy doe-foot applicator. This is personally my favourite way to apply concealer, as it's quick, efficient and requires not much effort.

The formulation is good, and like I said above, provides medium coverage. I bought shade Beige, which is actually a lot paler than I thought it would be, but is good for covering any blemishes before my foundation. I will definitely be picking up a darker colour once back off my holiday!

This is defnitely one of my top 3 favourite concealers, due to it's good coverage. The only thing I will remember next time is that I need to buy a darker shade!

Maybelline Master Sculpt Contour Kit

As usual, my very regular trip to Tesco ended up with discovering yet another awesome cosmetic purchase. I was so excited to see one of Maybellines newly released Master Sculpt contouring kit for only £1.99(?!?!). I'm not sure why it was reduced, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it and it's a new release. Anyway, I'm not complaining!

This kit is in the shade light, and it is by far too light for my skin tone. Anyway this isn't too much bother for me as 1. I've been using the contouring powder on my lids to darken them up (as they get very white after all my concealing... damn redness!) and 2. I've been preferring to "strobe" my face, which is a form of contouring using highlighter only.

The packaging on this product is quite smart, I do like the square glossy black casing. It's also really clever as underneath the powder there is another layer, which includes a little mirror and a small round brush. The brush is very soft and a really good shape for getting into the contour area of your cheeks and along your nose.

The powders are really great. I wasn't expecting them to be so silky and smooth but they are stunning and so easy to work with. The highlighter powder is really easily flaked off, and makes a bit of a mess, so you need quite a light hand when getting the product onto your brush.
Both powders are very blendable and look very natural. I am actually really impressed with the highlight in this kit, it's exactly what I have been looking for, for so long! Package up the highlight and sell seperately, pretty please? :)

I am really impressed with this little kit, I think it's a great affordable contouring kit which is perfect for everyone, beginners and contour lovers alike. I especially can't recommend the highlight enough, I just wish there was more of it in the pan!
